Mrs. Pearl Ann Dickey, of Creighton, Missouri, was born November 30, 1920 in Clinton, Missouri the daughter of George A. and Nellie Sarah (Walker) Hart. She departed this life Sunday, June 11, 2006 at the Camden Health Center, Harrisonville at the age of 85 years, 6 months and 11 days.
On December 23, 1938, Pearl was united in marriage to Fred Efton Dickey in Clinton, Missouri.
Pearl was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Creighton. Pearl loved gardening, cooking, her family and taking care of people.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Dickey on January 21, 2000; a son, Freddie Dale Dickey, US Navy on March 10, 1964; a granddaughter, Sarah Anne Wright on April 4, 1973; two brothers, Chester and Gordon; two sisters, Bonnie and Beulah.
She is survived by four sons, Jerry L. Dickey, Archie, Missouri, Delmar Gene Dickey and wife Jacque, Largo, Florida, Jim Dickey and wife Lori, Crystal Springs, Florida, Richard E. Dickey and wife Beverly, Clinton, Missouri; a daughter, Patricia Ann Wright and husband Don, Raymore, Missouri; 10 grandchildren, Tim Dickey, Donald Dickey, Dennis Dickey, Dale Dickey, Chris Wright, Cheryl DeAngelo, Scott Dickey, Susie Szumigala, Erica Dickey and Leslie Dickey; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Irene Beasley, Odessa, Texas; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at the First Baptist Church, Creighton with burial in the Grant Cemetery near Creighton.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Church Memorial Fund or Grace Hospice.
