Ralph LeRoy Fidler III

September 22, 1957 — May 11, 2010

Ralph Fidler Jr., of Creighton, Missouri, was born September 22, 1957 in Kansas City, Missouri the son of Ralph and Patsy (Penniston) Fidler. He departed this life on Tuesday, May 11th 2010 at his home near Creighton at the age of 52yrs 7mo and 19 days. Ralph was the oldest of three children born to Ralph and Patsy. As a boy he was a member of the cub scouts and the boy scouts. He was proud of his ""God and Country"" award he earned while in scouts and he would say that he felt Scouts helped make him the man he was. At an early age he would spend time with his grandpa on the farm and his love for the country life then began. He was excited to move to the country, Dayton Mo, in 1972. As a teenager he began working for area farmers disking fields, working on a hay crew or anything else they needed done. On November 18, 1984, Ralph was united in marriage to Charlene Thomas in Branson, Missouri. Together they shared over 25 years of marriage. Ralph began to work at NeCo in 2000 as a Grower Production Manager. He often referred to this job as his dream job. He took great pride in his work. He was unique in knowing the needs of each one of his customers. His customers were more than that, they were friends. Being at Neco each day wasn't just work though, they were a family. He was close to all the Cook family and employees. They all enjoyed spending time together and sharing family stories. He was an active member of his community, serving on the District 11 and Tri County water board. Anyone that knew Ralph, knew of his love for life. Ralph never met a stranger, he became friends with everyone he met. He had a big heart for people. Even when busy, he would drop everything to help a friend. Ralph always looked at the bright side, stayed positive, and found a way to make things work when it seemed like it wouldn't. He took great pride in his cows and his farm. He also liked to have fun. Anything from riding dune buggies to being on the lake or playing with his grandkids. One of his favorite times of the year was having a 4th of July party for the whole family at the pond, especially his firework display. His love for life grew even more over the summer of 2009 when he accepted Christ into his heart and was baptized on June 28th . His faith in the Lord not only helped him through his last year of life but also inspired many others to seek the same kind of relationship with the Lord for themselves.
Ralph is survived by his wife, Charlene A. Fidler of the home; his parents, Ralph and Patsy Fidler, Creighton, MO; a son, Scott A.
