Raymond Everett Cox of Urich, Missouri was born May 15, 1950 in Clinton, Missouri the son of Carrol Creighton and Ida Mae (Starks) Cox. He departed this life Sunday, March 16, 2008 at Veterans Administration Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 57 years, 10 months and 1 day.
On February 14, 1976, Raymond was united in marriage to Mary Ann Jacobs in Creighton, Missouri.
Raymond was a farmer. He was an Army veteran, a member of the Creighton Christian Church. A member and past commander of Ingham-Morgan Post #371 of the American Legion, Urich. Raymond enjoyed his family, grandchildren and fishing. He liked to attend and watch his son, John coach his football team in Concordia, Missouri. Raymond was a lifelong area resident.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Cox of the home; two sons, Bart Cox and wife, Stormy, Greenwood, Missouri, John Cox and wife, Amber, Warrensburg, Missouri; three grandchildren, Benjamin, Jonathan and Cody; two brothers, Dorcy Conrad and wife, Diana, Versailles, Missouri, Jim Cox and wife, Sandi, Clinton, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 21, 2007 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri.
Family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the Creighton Christian Church memorial fund.
