Rex E. Jackson

Rex Eugene Jackson of Harrisonville, Missouri was born October 26, 1954 in Harrisonville the son of Ivan Charles and Elizabeth Jean Betty (Ballenger) Jackson. He departed this life on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at the Golden Years Care Services, Harrisonville surrounded by love and family at the age of 64 years, 3 months and 28 days.

Rex loved nature. He spent his free time building his campsite, complete with a small creek, which he filled with fish he caught, dens for small wildlife, feeding stations, and his deer stand. He enjoyed hunting, football, and raising his cats. Rex was an expert gardener and a collector of coins, football cards, and unique rocks which he turned into one-of-a-kind jewelry. He had a creative mind, and will be dearly missed.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Mike Jackson.

Rex is survived by his son, Rex Lee Jackson of Glen Carbon, Illinois; a daughter, Christi Lee and her husband Christian of Creighton, Missouri; a sister, Michelle "Mickie" Thurman and her husband Frank D. of Archie, Missouri; three grandchildren, Braiden, Jack, and Asher; other relatives and many friends.


Cremation. A Celebration of Life Visitation was held Saturday, March 9, 2019, at Heart of Life Church in Garden City, Missouri with private family inurnment in the Garden City cemetery.
