Robert Earl Snook, Creighton, Missouri was born August 7, 1957 in Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas the son of Finis Benjamin and JoAnn (Poore) Snook Jr. He departed this life on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 in Lamar, Missouri at the age of 54 years, 8 months and 17 days.
Robert was a truck driver for NeCo Seeds, Garden City, Missouri and earlier owned and operated his own truck and was employed at Buddy Truck Line in Springfield, Missouri. He was an Air Force veteran and was a graduate of Cassville High School, Cassville, Missouri. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, working on hot rods and antique cars. Robert had moved to Creighton in October of 2010 from Springfield, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his father, Junior Snook on June 30, 1999.
Robert is survived by two sons, Jason M. Snook, Harrisonville, Missouri, Benjamin Snook and wife, Carrin, Kansas City, Missouri; four grandchildren, Austin, Kole, Kale and Tucker; his mother, JoAnn Snook, Creighton, Missouri; a brother, John Snook, Creighton, Missouri; three sisters, Cindy Lafferty, Kansas City, Missouri, Elizabeth Arias, Euless, Texas, Janet Wiseman, Creighton, Missouri; other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri. Cremation with inurnment in Byler Cemetery near Crieghton, Missouri.
The family received friends Saturday, April 28, 2012 from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the Robert Snook Memorial Fund.
