Robert ""Bob"" Franklin Edwards of East Lynne, Missouri was born July 26, 1923 and was raised in Quincy, Florida. He was the oldest of three sons born to Benjamin Franklin and Janie Estelle (Betts) Edwards. He departed this life Sunday, November 27, 2005 at his home in East Lynne at the age of 82 years, 4 months and 1 day.
Bob was an Army veteran of World War II and was honorably discharged on December 9, 1945. His tour of duty included action in North Africa, Sicily and Italy. He was very proud to have served his country.
Bob moved to Missouri in 1950 where he met and married Raylene Rogers. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and sharing his garden produce with his family and many many friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert Edwards and Samuel Edwards and a daughter, Loretta Jane Rushly.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Raylene Edwards of the home; a daughter, Patricia Jean Spooner and husband Ed, Quincy, Florida; a son, Frank ""Bo"" Edwards, East Lynne, Missouri; eight grandsons and one granddaughter; 15 great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 30, 2005 at the East Lynne Baptist Church, East Lynne, Missouri with burial in the Clearfork Cemetery near Garden City, Missouri.
