Robert Alan "Bob" Holt, of Harrisonville, Missouri was born May 20, 1946 in Youngstown, Ohio the son of Robert A. and Laura Jean (Parsons) Holt. He departed this life on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at his home surrounded by love and family at the age of 68 years, 11 months and 2 days.
On November 5, 1966, Bob was united in marriage to Linda Lee Rauch in New Springfield, Ohio.
Bob was a 1964 graduate of Springfield Local High School, Petersburg, Ohio. In February of 1966, he enlisted in the US Army and served until February of 1972. After serving in the Army, he served with the US Secret Service in Washington D.C. from 1972 until 1978. He then transferred to the Kansas City Field Office until his retirement in 1992 and then went to work in the Office of Criminal Investigation Branch of the Food and Drug Administration from 1992 until 2003. Bob was a gun collector and enjoyed hunting and shooting and loved riding his Harleys. He had lived in Stilwell, Kansas for 35 years before moving to Harrisonville in November of 2013.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bob is survived by his wife, Linda L. Holt of the home; a son, Christopher A. Holt and wife Michalle, Stilwell, Kansas; two grandchildren, Travis and Brooklynn Holt; a brother, Jack D. Holt, New Springfield, Ohio; other relatives and friends.
Cremation. A Celebration of Life Service was held Saturday, May 2, 2015 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the VITAS Hospice.
