Rose Kirby

Mrs. Rose Carolina Kirby of Harrisonville, Missouri was born October 9, 1930 in Buffalo, Missouri the daughter of Lester J. and Eula Ann (Smith) Mincks. She departed this life Thursday, March 27, 2008 at Cass Medical Center, Harrisonville at the age of 77 years, 5 months and 18 days.
On August 1, 1947, Rose was united in marriage to Reuben Kirby in DeSoto County, Mississippi.
Rose was employed as a certified nurse's aid at Camden Health Center, Harrisonville until her retirement in 2003. She was earlier employed at Pleasant View Rest Home, Harrisonville and as a cook for the Midway School District, Freeman, Missouri. She enjoyed her family, playing bingo and poker. Rose had moved to Harrisonville in 1974.
Besides her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Reuben on July 27, 1983; an infant son; two grandsons, Lonnie Bohrer and Mitch Lynn; a brother, Leonard Mincks.
She is survived by 3 sons, Richard T. Kirby and wife, Regina, Kansas City, Missouri, Kenneth B. Kirby and wife, Sandy, Holden, Missouri, Robert W. Kirby, Harrisonville, Missouri; 2 daughters, Emily J. Landis and husband, Randy, Latour, Missouri, Rose M. Amos and husband, John, Pleasant Hill, Missouri; 19 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 9 brothers, Willard Mincks, Paul Mincks, Boyde Mincks, Kenny Mincks and Billy Mincks all of Bolivar, Missouri, Cheslie Mincks, Dunnegan, Missouri, Leslie Mincks and Loyde Mincks both of Cleveland, Missouri, L.J. Mincks, Flemington, Missouri; 3 sisters, Bertha Jarvis, Nixa, Missouri, Chestine Ahart and Ruth Neal both of Bolivar, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 31, 2008 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
