Rose Marie Amos of Harrisonville, Missouri was born august 4, 1951 in Kansas City, Missouri the daughter of Reuben Thomas and Rose Caroline (Mincks) Kirby. She departed this life on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 surrounded by loved ones and family at her home in Harrisonville at the age of 60 years, 1 month and 23 days.
On May 20, 1971 Rose was united in marriage to Ronald “Ronnie” Dean Lynn and later married John Timothy Amos on July 28, 2001.
Rose was employed as a housekeeping supervisor for ABC Health Care in Harrisonville until her retirement on June 1, 2011. She attended the Presbyterian Church in LaTour, Missouri. Rose enjoyed gardening and her flowers, fishing, playing bingo, playing cards and softball. She will be remembered as a kind and loving wife and mother, sharing whatever she had and giving to others.
Besides her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her first husband, Ronnie on November 23, 1992; an infant brother and a step-son, Mitchell Wayne Lynn.
Rose is survived by her husband, John T. Amos of the home; three sons, Ernest R. Lynn, Dewey A. Lynn and wife, Becky, Cecil W. Lynn all of Harrisonville, Missouri; a daughter, Stephanie R. Lynn-Brown and husband, Christopher, Stafford, Virginia; a step-daughter, Jackie Pierce, Harrisonville, Missouri; eight grandchildren; a great grandson; three brothers, Richard T. Kirby, Kansas City, Missouri, Kenneth B. Kirby, LaTour, Missouri, Robert W. Kirby, Harrisonville, Missouri; a sister, Emily J. Landis, LaTour, Missouri; other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2011 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with burial in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery south of Harrisonville.
Family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., Thursday, September 29, 2011 at the funeral home.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Mercy Hospital.
