Ruby Louise Fuller

November 12, 1930 — April 3, 2013

Ruby Louise Cochran Fuller, wife to one, Mother of five, Godly Sister to many, and friend to all, went home to be with Jesus on April 3, 2013. Born November 12, 1930 in Camp, Arkansas, she grew up in the back hills of Northern Arkansas during the difficult years of the depression.
She met Robert Jesse Fuller at a very young age, and found a love that would last a lifetime. They were married in 1947, and experienced a fullness of life together that few are blessed to enjoy, until Robert passed away in July, 2011.
Ruby was very proud of her career as a homemaker. It was her most notable career, in the opinion of many. She also held positions as a nurse's aide, retail clerk, cosmetics salesperson, supervisor for special needs adults, and paint store clerk, to name a few. She was involved with many organizations over her lifetime including Boy Scouts, Eastern Star, White Shrine and numerous square dance clubs. Ruby was a woman of faith and raised her children in faith. She was active at church throughout her life, including singing in the choir. Everything she did, she did with love, style and grace. Her favorite color was "sparkle". And she did!
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mattie Lucille Cochran Fuller and a brother, Russell Eugene Cochran.
Ruby is survived by her children and extended family: daughter Neta Fuller Zitnik and husband Frank, Omaha, Nebraska, daughter Jessie Fuller Clark and husband Steven, Leawood, Kansas, son Gary Fuller and wife Jean, Jamul, California, daughter Joy Fuller Svec and husband Dan, Des Moines, Iowa, and son Robert Russell Fuller, Osceola, Iowa; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; four brothers, Roy Edward Cochran and wife Evelyn, Chariton, Iowa, Jerry Dean Cochran, Prairieville, Louisiana, Gerald Lee Cochran, Camp, Arkansas, Jack Cochran, Ludwig, Michigan; two sisters, Lavaughn Joye Cochran Zwanziger and husband Robert of Garland, Texas, Marion Darlene Cochran Barker, Marshalltown, Iowa; other relatives and friends.
Everyone who knew Ruby loved her. She was loving and giving and beautiful, inside and out. She was adopted as “Mom” by so many of her children’s friends and others, that the list of "survived by" should total in the hundreds. We were blessed to have her.
Earth lost the best Mother, Heaven gained an Angel.
Cremation. A Celebration of Life Services were held Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
