Ruth Lynn ""Ruthie"" Eads, of Garden City, Mo. was born May 7, 1988 in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of Ronald Dean and Rebecca Louise (Landzettel) Eads. She departed this life Saturday, June 16, 2007, at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, Mo., at the age of 19 years 1 month and 9 days.
Ruthie was currently attending Regency Cosmetology School, Kansas City, Missouri. She was a 2006 graduate of Sherwood High School, Creighton, Mo. Ruthie enjoyed sending funny texts and picture messages to family and friends. She also enjoyed big loud lifted trucks, music, John Deere, hanging out with friends in lawn chairs, mud runs, tractor pulls, demolition derbies, rodeos and drag races. Ruthie loved getting dirty and having fun and just hanging out and sitting on tailgates with her friends. She was always trying something new and would not back down from anyone. Ruthie said her Dad was her hero. She had lived in Kansas City, Mo. before moving to Garden City in 1996.
She is survived by her parents, Ron and Becky Eads of the home; one brother, Ron Eads, Jr., and wife Ashley, Garden City, Mo.; one sister, Rachel Kurzweil and husband John, Archie, Missouri; paternal grandparents, Jessie and Mary Eads, Kansas City, Mo.; maternal great-grandmother, Mabel Simpson, Pilot Knob, Mo.; one nephew, Blake Eads, Garden City, Mo.; a niece, Brielle Kurzweil, Archie, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri with interment in the Garden City Cemetery.
Family suggests contributions may be made to MADD.
