Shirley Jo Feeback

Shirley Jo (Lewis) Feeback passed away on April 18, 2010, in Harrisonville, Missouri. She was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on January 8, 1928, to Samuel Theron (Joe) and Pharis Zelda (Jerry) Lewis.
Shirley and her family were long-time Harrisonville residents and she graduated valedictorian from Harrisonville High School in the class of 1945. Shirley then attended the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, receiving an Associate degree and subsequently completing her Bachelors? degree in Education at Texas Western College. Shirley went on to complete a Master?s program in Library Science at Warrensburg.
She married LD (Duff) Feeback from Latour, Missouri in 1948. In the early years, Shirley and Duff lived a nomadic lifestyle, traveling to various oil and gas provinces across the inland west and from northern Canada, south to west Texas, eventually settling in El Paso, Texas. A life-long educator, Shirley taught school throughout her professional life, finishing her career as the Librarian at Holden Elementary after Duff retired from the oil business. Our Mom was the foundation of our family with her strong will and compassion. Mom was additionally a positive influence for her many friends and students who will recall her with great fondness.
Preceded in passing by her parents, brother Robert Lee, and sister Janice.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Duff; her children, Kevin and Teresa Feeback, Derek and Susan Feeback, and Danja and Tom Klepper; her brothers Dean and Jim Lewis; and her grandchildren, Hayes, Cole, Abigail, and Lilyan Jo Feeback all of whom miss her dearly.
Visitation begins at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 25, 2010, at Dickey Funeral Home, 2401 East Mechanic, Harrisonville, Missouri.
The Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with a reception and barbeque in Pavilion No. 3 at the Harrisonville City Park afterward.
