Mrs. Shirley Dean Sager, of San Antonio, Texas, was born April 12, 1937 in Linn Creek, Missouri, the daughter of Henry Franklin and Eula (Goldsberry) Jones. She departed this life Saturday, July 15, 2006, at her home at the age of 69 years, 3 months and 3 days.
On April 3, 1967, Shirley was united in marriage to Stanley Marcus Sager in Seymour, Iowa.
Shirley owned and operated the Gunn City Grocery Store, Gunn City, Missouri from 1978 until 1997. She was also employed at Scotts Bar-B-Q, Harrisonville from 1986 until 2002. She was a member of Linn Creek Baptist Church and the VFW Auxiliary, Harrisonville, Missouri. Shirley enjoyed going to the boats and to Las Vegas. She loved flowers, her family, especially her grandchildren and her dog ""Schottzie"".
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Mark Sager of the home; two sons, Bart Sager, San Antonio, Texas, Heath Sager, Universal City, Texas; five grandchildren, Bret, Ethan, Steven, Alyssa and Jessie Dean; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Thursday, July 20, 2006 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
Graveside services were held Friday, July 21, 2006 at the South Lawn Cemetery, Seymour, Iowa.
