Mrs. Susan Yvonne Gardner, of West Line, Missouri, was born January 21, 1953 in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Charles and Ila (Blackmon) Chastain. She departed this life Friday, October 21, 2005, at her home at the age of 52 years and 9 months.
On July 15, 1980, Susan was united in marriage to James Lee Gardner in Harrisonville, Missouri.
Susan was a homemaker. She was a member of the West Line Christian Church. Susan loved flowers, children and playing the guitar. She enjoyed singing and listening to Gospel music. Susan was a great mom and grandma. She had lived in Belton, Missouri before moving to West Line in 1985.
She is survived by her husband, James L. Gardner of the home; four sons, Donnie Chandler of the home, Steven Chandler and wife, Shannon, West Line, Missouri, Brian Gardner, Trenton, Missouri, Robbie Chandler of the home; two daughters, Tamela Lehman and husband William of Iowa, Kaylan Wren of the home; eight grandchildren; her parents, Charlie and Ila Chastain, West Line, Missouri; a brother, David Chastain, Drexel, Missouri; four sisters, Sandy Howell and Mary Fort both of West Line, Missouri, Beth Stripling, Overland Park, Kansas, Belinda Sevy, Harrisonville, Missouri; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
Graveside service and interment was held Monday, October 24, 2005 at the Glenwild Cemetery near Cleveland, Missouri. Funeral arrangments were under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
