Teresa Scavuzzo Cook

Teresa Scavuzzo Cook, of Belton, Missouri was born on October 11, 1951 in Harrisonville, Missouri the daughter of Cosmo and Rosemary Scavuzzo. She departed this life on August 21, 2020 at her home in Belton, Missouri at the age of 68.



Teresa grew up in Harrisonville, Missouri and graduated from Harrisonville High School where she was a cheerleader and played volleyball. Growing up she spent much of her time at the lake with her family swimming and skiing and spending time with her friends.



On June 13, 1989 Teresa was united in marriage to Phillip E. Cook and resided in Peculiar, Missouri most of their married life until his death.



During her working years she worked for Midwest Mechanical Contractors as an accountant.



Teresa loved to bake. She enjoyed reading, cuddling with her dogs, talking on the phone and spending time at the lake. She especially looked forward to girls week every year.



She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and an older sister Dena Finnell.

Teresa is survived by three daughters, Bethany K. Woolery, Belton, Missouri; Tiffany R. Goss and husband Steve, Harrisonville, Missouri; Cortney J. Mayhew and husband Brent, Bella Vista, Arkansas; six grandchildren Kaitlin, Jacob, Lucas, Cooper, Ryan and Ella; one great-granddaughter Copeland; two sisters, Karla Hageman, Smithville, Missouri and Angela Travalent, Peculiar, Missouri; other relatives and friends.

Cremation. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
