Tommy Douglas Brown, of Garden City, Missouri was born January 28, 1967 in Butler, Missouri the son of Terry Douglas Brown and Sandra M. (Burton) Keck. He departed this life on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at the Research Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri after a long illness of Wernicke Disease at the age of 48 years, 10 months and 24 days.
Tommy was a 1985 graduate of the Archie, Missouri High School. His friends nicknamed and called him "Tomcat" or "Chicken" and was a distance runner for the Archie Track team. He joined the United States Marine Corps on September 4, 1985 and was honorably medically discharged on September 19, 1986. Tommy worked many jobs and enjoyed hunting, fishing and sports.
Tommy is survived by two sons, Kevin Brown and wife Sarah, Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri, Dillon Brown and wife Crissy, Garden City, Missouri; two daughters, Amanda Scalia and husband James and Tara Brown all of Clinton, Missouri; four grandchildren, Hailey, Michelle, Kennedy and Zachary; his mother, Sandra Keck, Garden City, Missouri; his father, Terry Brown, Warsaw, Missouri; four sisters, Tracy Miller, Garden City, Missouri, Tammy Hocker, Archie, Missouri, Terri Young and husband Tobie, Warsaw, Missouri, Tiffany Johnson and husband John, Urich, Missouri; a brother, Joshua Brown, State of Missouri; a close friend, Bonnie Rajsky; many uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and many friends.
Cremation. Celebration of Life Services were held Monday, December 28, 2015 at the Dickey Funeral Home Inc., Garden City, Missouri.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Tommy Brown Memorial Fund.
