Uva Mae Highley

Uva Mae Highley, of Harrisonville, Missouri was born December 1, 1925 near Adrian, Missouri the daughter of James Grayson and Ethel Effie (Miller) Dade. She departed this life on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at her home at the age of 87 years, 5 months and 27 days.
On February 19, 1943, Uva Mae was united in marriage to William James Highley.
Uva Mae was a homemaker. She was a member of the Everett Community Church near Archie, Missouri since April 25, 1965. She was very active in the church by teaching Sunday School and VBS for many years as well as the Sunday School Secretary for a few years. Uva Mae enjoyed baking, crocheting, reading Christian books and spending time with her family.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William James Highley on March 26, 1984; three brothers, Roy Lee, Earl Clayton and Basil Price Dade and a sister, Mildred Fern Rosier.
Uva Mae is survived by her son, Terry J. Highley and wife Lela, Harrisonville, Missouri; three grandchildren, Ron Highley and wife Victoria, Melanie Troby and husband Stacy and Randy Highley and wife Cari; 6 great-grandchildren, Jamie Highley, Paige Goddard, Dustin Troby, Jeremiah Troby, Raegan Highley and Lliam Highley; 4 great-great-grandchildren, Warren Highley, Guillermo Ramirez, Payton Troby and Addisyn Goddard; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday. June 1, 2013 at the Everett Community Church, near Archie, Missouri with burial in the Crescent Hill Cemetery near Adrian, Missouri.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Church Memorial Fund.
