Virginia Lee Ketchum of Harrisonville, Missouri was born July 9, 1930 in Kansas City, Missouri the daughter of Homer B. and Virginia A. (Schroder) Watson. She departed this life on Friday, November 23, 2018 at the Golden Years Care Services, Harrisonville, Missouri at the age of 88 years, 4 months and 14 days.
On March 19, 1947, Virginia was united in marriage to Joseph Doherty in Kansas City, Missouri. Later she was united in marriage to Robert "Bob" Eugene Ketchum on September 5, 1970 at Unity Village in Lee's Summit, Missouri.
Virginia was employed as a secretary for J. Harold Smith Realty, Harrisonville. She was a member of the Harrisonville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed doing crafts, loved to laugh and could find humor in anything. Virginia loved animals and children especially her grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Joseph Doherty and a grandson, Greg Brown.
She is survived by her husband, Robert "Bob" Ketchum; 3 sons, Mike Doherty and wife Joan, Patrick "Pat" Doherty and wife Janice, David Ketchum and wife Charlotte; 3 daughters, Joie Foster and husband Martin, Nancy Westhoff and husband Bernie, Pamela "Pam" Brown; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
