Wayne R. Gunnufson

Wayne Richard Gunnufson of Garden City, Missouri, was born December 8, 1941 the son of Calman and Lucille (Adler) Gunnufson. He departed this life on Monday, September 30, 2013 at his home near Garden City at the age of 71 years, 9 months and 22 days.
On October 1, 1982, Wayne was united in marriage to Linda Lee Miller in Greenwood, Missouri.
Wayne was a Computer Engineer and worked for several companies before owning and operating Laser Fax, Garden City, Missouri until his retirement in early of 2013. He was a Navy veteran. Wayne was a wonderful husband and loving father and grandfather. He had many interests such as horseback riding, raising and showing Old English sheepdogs, hunting and fishing and will be deeply missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 31 years, Linda Gunnufson of the home; his children Lisa Schumacher, Ashburn, Virginia, Scott Gunnufson, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Kelly Sanchez, Rosemount, Minnesota; his step-children Roxanne Kegin, Shawnee, Kansas, and Jeremy Liska, Grants, New Mexico; 12 grandchildren; a sister Janice Peterson of Apple Valley, Minnesota; other relatives and many friends.
Cremation. A Celebration of Life Service was held Friday, Oct. 4, at the Dickey Funeral Home,Harrisonville, Missouri.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Old English Sheepdog Club of America.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cass County Cremation Services, Harrisonville, Missouri.
