William 'Bill' Raffurty

William Robert "Bill" Raffurty, 67, a lifetime resident of Pleasant Hill, was born October 5, 1946, in Pleasant Hill the son of James Alexander and Dorothy Mae (Moore) Raffurty. He departed this life at 10:57 p.m. Sunday, November 24, 2013, at the Pleasant Hill Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Bill was a 1966 Pleasant Hill High School Graduate.
On September 6, 1982 he was united in marriage to Bonnie Lee Decker in Pleasant Hill, Missouri.
Bill was a well known lawn serviceman in Pleasant Hill. He owned and operated Bills Lawn Service for over 30 years. It was more than business for Bill as he loved helping other people.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife Bonnie of the home; one stepson Joe W. Erdman of Peculiar, Missouri; two brothers John Raffurty of Pleasant Hill, and Howard (and Valerie) Raffurty of Harrisonville; two sisters Mary (and Terry) Roberts of Pleasant Hill, and Jean Hudson of Phoenix, Arizona; four grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the Stanley-Dickey Funeral Home, Pleasant Hill, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 30, 2013 at the Stanley-Dickey Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Casket bearers are Joe Erdman, Ron Karg, D.J. Linthicum, Doug Linthicum, Bobby Moore, and David Redwine.
