William Drennen

William Gerald Drennen of Harrisonville, Missouri was born November 12, 1924 in Trenton, Missouri the son of Andrew C. and Alice Ruth (Cornwell) Drennen. He departed this life Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at Cass Medical Center, Harrisonville at the age of 82 years, 10 months and 28 days.
On July 31, 1964, William was united in marriage to Anna Marlene Hetrick in Miami, Oklahoma.
William was employed as a pressman for Inland Machinery Company, Lenexa, Kansas traveling to other countries until his retirement in 2002. He was a member of the Hickory Grove Baptist Church near Pleasant Hill, Missouri, a Navy veteran of World War II and received pilot training during the war. He enjoyed photography, the outdoors, his garden and reading books. William had lived in Raytown and Independence, Missouri before moving to Harrisonville in 1973.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Danny Drennen.
He is survived by his wife, Anna M. Drennen of the home; a son, William G. Drennen Jr., Harrisonville, Missouri; three daughters, Sigrid L. Drennen, Lake Lotawana, Missouri, Tony Williamson, Independence, Missouri, Patricia Bell, Urbana, Missouri; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard Drennen, Cameron, Missouri, David Drennen, Kansas City, Missouri; a sister, Carol Hickman, Liberty, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
