William Eugene Shaddox of Urich, Missouri was born November 14, 1947 in Harrison, Arkansas the son of William Devoe and Anna Marie (Kimmell) Shaddox. He departed this life on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family near Urich at the age of 63 years, 8 months and 25 days.
On August 3, 1966, Bill was united in marriage to Phyllis Ann Sierks in Ocheltree, Kansas.
Bill owned and operated for the past 38 years, Bill Shaddox Construction Company, Urich, Missouri until his retirement. He enjoyed his family, grandchildren, checking on his cattle and driving his Corvette. Bill was an avid supporter of his grandchildren's sporting events and school activities. He had grown up in Peculiar, Missouri and had moved to Urich 43 years ago. Bill could handle any situation with a smile and was proud to tell everyone that Phyllis was the love of his life.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Shaddox and his sister, Rosetta Chaney.
Bill is survived by his wife, Phyllis Shaddox of the home; two sons, William "Bill" Shaddox Jr., Creighton, Missouri, Steven A. Shaddox, Urich, Missouri; two daughters, Kim Salmon and husband, Jim, Urich, Missouri, Shelly Powell, Creighton, Missouri; six grandchildren; Kelsi, Aaron, Megan, Quintin, Brittney and Brianna; a brother, Ronnie Shaddox, Warsaw, Missouri; two sisters, Sandy Knisley, Peculiar, Missouri, Margaret Shaddox, Panama City, Florida; other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, August 12, 2011 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri with interment in the Grant Cemetery near Creaghton, Missouri.
