William 'Fred' Cobb

William F. "Fred" Cobb was born July 9, 1947 in Pensacola, Florida the son of William F and Alice Walters. He departed this life on Sunday, July 19, 2015 at his home surrounded by love and family at the age of 68 years and 10 days.
Fred was vice-president of Dun-Par Engineered Form Company, Kansas City, Missouri for 40 years until his retirement in 2011. He was an United States Navy veteran. He touched the heart of anyone who came in contact with him. He always put his family first, and had a joke or story to tell. Fred enjoyed playing pool, golf and driving his Viper. Special times were spent at the lake house while boating with family and friends.
Besides his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his two brothers, David and Bobby Cobb; his two sisters, Debbie Cobb and Rhoda Jean Herman.
Fred is survived by his best friend and wife of 47 years, Carlotta Cobb of the home; two sons, Mark Cobb and Shawn Cobb (Dana) all of Garden City, Missouri; a daughter, Stacy Applequist (Nathan), Conway, Arkansas; a niece of the home, Sariah Offield; five grandchildren, Logan and Dalton Cobb, Kaylan Goodwin, William and Colton Applequist; a great-grandson, Lachlin Cobb; two brothers, Don Lester, George Cobb; a sister, Shirley Smith; other relatives and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Life Service was held Saturday, July 25, 2015 at the United Methodist Church, 500 South 5th. Street, Garden City, Missouri. Cremation.
Family suggests contributions in memory of Fred to be made to a charity of one's choice.
Final arrangements entrusted to Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri.
