William Jones

Dean Jones of Harrisonville, Missouri was born April 3, 1914 in Harrisonville the son of William David and Ruby (Kenagy) Jones. He departed this life Monday, March 3, 2008 at his home in Harrisonville at the age of 93 years, 11 months.
On September 11, 1937, Dean was united in marriage to Goldie May Horner in Lee's Summit, Missouri.
Dean was a dairy farmer and stockman until his retirement in 1989. He was a former member of the Austin Baptist Church near Archie, Missouri and later transferred his membership to the Antioch Southern Baptist Church, Harrisonville. Dean had lived in the Austin Community near Archie before moving to Harrisonville in 1989.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife. Goldie on March 8, 2004; two brothers, Lowell and Dale Jones; three sisters, Adeline Jones, Wanda Fisher and infant sister, Glada.
He is survived by two sons, David Jones and wife, Rebecca, Rapid City, South Dakota; Charles L. Jones and fiance, Joni Harding, Harrisonville, Missouri; a daughter, Judy Cooper and husband, Gary, Kansas City, Missouri; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; a brother, Tom Jones, San Diego, California; a sister, Wilda Askew, LaMesa, California; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 7, 2008 at Antioch Southern Baptist Church, Harrisonville, Missouri with burial at the Crescent Hill Cemetery near Adrian, Mo.
Family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the Austin Cemetery Association.
