Amanda M. Powers-Green

Amanda Marie Powers-Green, 39, of Kansas City, formerly of Grandview, was born August 3, 1978, in Joplin, Missouri, the daughter of Timothy O. and Holly D. (Meikle) Powers. She departed this life, Wednesday, December 20, 2017, at the Kansas University Medical Center surrounded with love and family.

Amanda was a 1997 Grandview High School graduate.

On September 28, 2013, she was united in marriage to Christopher B. Green in Kansas City.

Amanda enjoyed arts & crafts, jig saw puzzles, and traveling. She also enjoyed singing and was involved in choir all through high school. One of the things she enjoyed most was spending time with family.

She is survived by her husband Chris Green of Kansas City; daughter, Elizabeth M. Holm, of Grandview; mother, Holly Powers of Grandview; father and stepmother, Tim and Pat Powers of Lee’s Summit; sister, Sarah (and Rob) Skoropat of Pleasant Hill; step-sister, Jennifer (and Chris) Chandler-Smith of Grandview; nephews, Jack, Max, and Kane and niece Lucy, all of Pleasant Hill; several aunts and uncles; other relatives and friends.

Cremation has been accorded.

A celebration of Amanda’s life will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 30, 2017, at the funeral home. Reverend John Oster will officiate. Visitation will be held 1:00 p.m. until service time.
