Anita Bridges, 73, Harrisonville, Missouri was born September 15, 1945 to George and Ora E. "Mickey" (Hornbeck) King in Childress, Texas. She departed this life on Friday, September 28, 2018.
Anita eloped with the love of her life, David L. Bridges, on November 17, 1962. He preceded her in death earlier this month.
Anita enjoyed a long career with the US Government (IRS and Dept. of Defense) as a systems analyst. She was also a dedicated cheerleader for her children and grandchildren.
Anita is survived by 2 daughters, Angel Bridges-Deaver and husband Michael, Lee's Summit, Missouri and Shelly Evans and husband Brent, Kansas City, Missouri; 5 grandchildren, Megan, Briana, Kristopher, Jacqueline and Kayla; 3 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way; a sister-by-choice, Marilyn Gussman and husband Chris.
Cremation with no services scheduled at this time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial to the KU Cancer Center.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
