April was born in Kansas City MO to Joe and Irene Rust. She attended Southeast High School of Lee’s Summit and was active in softball and her high school sorority. She married Robert Stoltz in 1968 and had one daughter, Kelly Gorman, in 1969. April worked in the pharmacy field and did secretary work for many years. She then married Tom Foster, the love of her life, on 7/10/1978. They had one son, Kevin Foster, in 1979. Tom and April moved to their farm in Pleasant Hill MO in 1985 and enjoyed living the country life. She was a housekeeping supervisor for several years at the Pleasant Hill nursing home. After that, she was a homemaker for many years. April loved laying out in the sun and floating in her pool, flowers and birds, socks, perfume, and nightgowns. She also loved to faithfully follow her grandson Joey’s football team for many years. Her family was a very important part of her life. Her greatest joy was her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She could always be counted on for support and guidance.
She was preceded in death by her husband Tom Foster, father Joe Rust, mother Irene Rust, and one brother Dave Derby. She is survived by her daughter Kelly Gorman of Raymore, her son Kevin Foster and spouse Kelly Blickley of Independence, grandson Joey Gorman and wife Kaylee Gorman, grandson Grayson Foster, granddaughters Brittiny and Bailey Foster, and two great grandchildren Brody and Jayda Gorman.
