Audrey L. Morris

Audrey Lee Morris of Garden City, Missouri was born October 2, 1928 near Clinton, Missouri the daughter of Leslie Columbus and Thelma Lee (Zehnder) Moreland. She departed this life on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at her home near Garden City surrounded by love and family at the age of 87 years and 26 days.
On June 1, 1947 Audrey was united in marriage to Robert K. Morris.
Audrey was a homemaker and a dairy farmer helping her husband, Robert on the dairy farm. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, collecting dolls, gardening, attending bluegrass music festivals, fishing and going to Saturday night dances at the Garden City Community Building. Audrey was a member of the United Methodist Church, Peculiar, Missouri and was a lifelong area resident.
Besides her parents, Audrey was preceded in death by her husband, Robert on February 18, 2015; a son, Robert "Bobby Joe" Morris Sr. and her brother, Charles Roy Moreland.
Audrey is survived by her daughter, Vikki Troyer (David Sulser), Garden City, Missouri; sister-in-law, Marilyn Moreland, Harrisonville, Missouri; six grandchildren; Shannon (Sonia) Leslie, Garden City, Missouri, Casey (Elizabeth) Leslie, Lee's Summit, Missouri, Rebecca (James) Jackson Jr., Warsaw, Missouri, Robert J. Morris, Kristy DeMaranville and Kenneth D. Morris all of Harrisonville, Missouri; ten great-grandchildren, Codie O. Leslie, SSgt. Robert (Abigail) Powell, Ashley Ginnings, Ella Leslie, Madison Jackson, Dakota DeMaranville, Jacob Morris, Shyla DeMaranville, Mackenzie Leslie, Abigail Leslie; other relatives and a host of friends.
Graveside services were held Saturday, October 31, 2015 at the Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville, Missouri.
Family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the John Knox Village Hospice.
Arrangements are under the care of Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri.
