Barbara Jean Hill

Barbara Jean Hill of Harrisonville, Missouri was born March 6, 1940 in the Lone Tree Community near Harrisonville the daughter of David Leon and Ruby Lee (McClendon) Weddington. She departed this life on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Cass Regional Medical Center, Harrisonville at the age of 76 years and 2 days.
She was united in marriage to Carroll Hill in Harrisonville, Missouri.
Barbara was a homemaker and later was employed for Tyson Foods in Berryville, Arkansas. She had lived in Harrisonville, Garden City and Creighton before moving to Arkansas in 1976 and back to Harrisonville in 2002. She enjoyed sewing, coloring, gardening, collecting and working with stained glass.
Besides her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll; two sons, David Claunch and James Douglas Claunch; three brothers, Scott, Kenneth and Johnny Weddington.
She is survived by her daughter, Jean Ann Mendyk and husband, Mike, Green Forrest Arkansas; 4 grandchildren, James, Joanna, Darrell and Karla; 4 great-grandchildren, Claire, Hudson, Grace and Persephone; a brother, Lyle Dean Weddington, Deepwater, Missouri; 4 sisters, Elizabeth Osburn, JoAnn Bonner, Raymore, Missouri, Sandra K. Asher, Clever, Missouri, Holly Anne Weddington, Kansas City, Missouri; other relatives and a host of friends.

Graveside services were held Friday, March 11, 2016 at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery near Harrisonville, Missouri.
The family received friends Friday, March 11, 2016 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
