Barbara Joyce Hoback

Barbara Joyce Hoback 86, of Belton, Mo., passed peacefully at home Monday December 9th, 2019. Surrounded by love and family.

Barbara was born on July 28th, 1933 in St. Joseph, Mo. To Frank and Virginia Gilbert. She later moved to Phoenix, Arizona where she spent time with her mother Virgina, sister Bette Webb and other family. After retiring from Capital Detective Agency she moved back home to Belton, Mo. There she spent the remainder of her life with daughter Janice Lynn Jackson, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her pet bird B.J. She loved sharing her love for the Lord with others and teaching Sunday school to children. Barbara was such a joy to be around and a truly beautiful soul.

Barbara was survived by: her daughter Janice Lynn Jackson of Belton, Mo. her four grandchildren; Julie and husband Vincent Rice, Joseph Jackson, Joni and husband Seth Wyatt, Jeff Jackson and wife Elizabeth , 9 great grandchildren, and her sister Bette Webb of Phoenix, Arizona.

Barbara was preceded in death by: her parents Frank and Virgina Gilbert, sister Beverly Jean Gilbert, and her twin sons.

Funeral services were held Monday December 16th, 2019 at Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri officiated by Pastor Tamara Gunn with cremation to follow the service.
