Mrs. Betty Irene Jones, of Blairstown, Missouri, was born September 18, 1931 in Cole Camp, Missouri the daughter of Jesse and Bertha Mae (Sunter) Metcalf. She departed this life Sunday, March 25, 2007 at St. Lukes Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 75 years, 6 months and 7 days.
On February 14, 1954, Betty was united in marriage to Claude B. Jones in Cole Camp, Missouri.
Betty was a homemaker. She was a 1949 graduate of Cole Camp High School. Betty enjoyed cooking, rock hunting and fishing. She liked yard work and working in her flowerbeds. Betty also liked to read and spend time with her family, especially her grandson, Kyle and great-grandson, Kale.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Smith.
She is survived by her husband Claude Jones of the home; a son, Keith Jones and wife Jennifer; a grandson, Kyle Jones and wife Tonya and a great-grandson, Kale all of Garden City, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
Cremation. No services scheduled. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Mo.
