Bill Paul Bridenthal, of Harrisonville, Missouri was born July 31, 1928 in Converse, Indiana the son of Paul and Helen (Overmeier) Bridenthal. He departed this life on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the Cass Regional Medical Center, Harrisonville at the age of 88 years, 9 months and 13 days.
In 1950, Bill was united in marriage to Ida F. Modlin and later divorced. On June 20, 1964, Bill was united in marriage to Mary Lois (Miller) Weir in Fairmount, Indiana.
After high school, Bill joined the military and was in the Merchant Marines and Army serving in the Korean War from July 1, 1947 until February 17, 1949. Bill was employed at Dana Corp., Marion, Indiana, Pierce Governor, Upland, Indiana and Wal-Mart in Conroe, Texas until his retirement in 1994. Bill and Mary moved to Missouri in 1996 and remained in the Harrisonville are until his passing.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lois Bridenthal on September 25, 1998; three brothers, John, Richard and Benney Bridenthal and a sister, Delores. Bill is survived by 8 children, Paulette Marley, Harrisonville, Missouri, Roxanne Lewis and husband Gary, Jonesboro, Indiana, Melody Mason and husband Richard, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Carl Bridenthal, Conyers, Georgia, Steven Bridenthal and wife Darlene, Logansport, Indiana, Triela Lewis and husband Danny, Jonesboro, Indiana, Sabra Miller and Penny Correll, Marion, Indiana; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his sister, Mona Jean Hiatt, Wabash, Indiana; other relatives and many friends.
Family received friends on Friday, May 19, 2017 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with Military services to follow the visitation.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association and may be left at the funeral home.
