Brandy Lea Payne was born Saturday, December 2, 1972, at Wetzel Hospital (Golden Valley Memorial Hospital) in Clinton, MO. After 49-years on earth, she went to be with the Lord Saturday, May 28, 2022, at Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas.
She was raised by her Mother Gatha L. (Rusow) Roth and Father Everett J. Roth in Adrian, Missouri where she graduated from Adrian R3 High School in 1991. Growing up she was baptized into the Adrian Christian Church, was a member of the Willing Workers 4-H club, participated in band, and school sports. She attended College of the Ozarks and graduated in 1996 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Investigations. She worked for Burns and McDonnell of Kansas City for 3 years before joining the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in 1999. During her almost 23 years at DEA, she was located in Denver, CO; Vancouver, Canada; Kabul, Afghanistan; and Omaha, NE.
Brandy was preceded in death by her father Everett J. Roth, step-brother Jesse L. Hess, and her grandparents.
She is survived by her mother Gatha L. Roth of Peculiar, MO, sister Shanda L. Meis, niece Noi N. Meis, and nephew Keegan J. Meis, all of Castle Rock CO, step-brother Anthony J. Roth and family of Osceola, MO, step-brother Bryan J. Roth and family of Rockville, MO, and step-sister Pamela J. Wharton and family.
Brandy enjoyed her work and taking care of people, traveling, and just enjoying life. She loved being with her nieces and nephews whenever possible. She loved the mountains for the views, and hiking, as well as many other reasons, but always wanted to be at the beach near the water when vacationing. She enjoyed new adventures such as working at the 2010 Winter Olympics, visiting Ireland and Scotland, taking cruises, and traveling through many US states. She had many adopted family members throughout her life, followed the Lord, and was extremely proud to be an American working for DEA.
Brandy will be missed every day and forever be in our hearts.
