Buddy Roger Masonbrink of Higginsville, Missouri was born May 4, 1930 near Lexington, Missouri the son of Roger Lee and Ethel (Neill) Masonbrink. He departed this life Sunday, January 1, 2006 at Lafayette Regional Medical Center, Lexington, Missouri at the age of 75 years, 7 months and 27 days.
On December 22, 1946, Buddy was united in marriage to Anna Charlene Ellis in Houston, Texas. He later married Orpha Roberds on March 15, 1995 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Buddy was employed as a cement mason for J.E. Dunn Construction Company, Kansas City, Missouri until his retirement in 1990. He was a member of Cement Masons Local 151, Kansas City, Missouri. Buddy had lived in Kansas City, Creighton, Buckner and Corder, Missouri before moving to Higginsville in 2002.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Anna on January 31, 1994.
He is survived by his wife, Orpha Masonbrink of the home; two sons, B. Michael Masonbrink and wife Glenda and Larry W. Masonbrink and wife Marjorie all of Liberty, Missouri; two step-sons, Terry Payne, Lee's Summit, Missouri and Kevin Jordan, Kansas City, Kansas; three daughters, Vickie M. Windsor and husband John, Odessa, Missouri, Patti G. Wright and husband Kelly, Kearney, Missouri, Lisa A. Cox and husband Duane, Greenwood, Missouri; a step-daughter, Kathy Jordan, Kansas City, Kansas; 7 grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 7 step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Isabelle Hensley, Caulfield, Missouri.
Funeral services were held Thursday, January 5, 2006 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri with burial in the Grant Cemetery near Creighton, Missouri.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
