Cara Jo Roberts, of Harrisonville, Missouri, was born September 28, 1978 in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Roger Lee Keefer and Theresa Diane (Frock) Matthews. She departed this life Wednesday, November 5, 2008, at her home in Harrisonville at the age of 30 years, 1 month and 7 days.
On June 17, 2004, Cara was united in marriage to Jeffrey Allen Roberts in Playa del Carman, Mexico.
Cara was employed at an insurance company in the insurance contract and license department. She was a member of the Sycamore Grove Mennonite Church near Garden City, Missouri. Cara was a 1996 graduate of Harrisonville High School and graduated from Central Missouri State University, Warrensburg, Missouri in December 2000 with a Business Administrative Degree and a Minor in Marketing. She enjoyed her family especially her son Carter, going shopping, camping, going to BBQ's, and the Elk's Lodge, Harrisonville. Cara was a life-long area resident.
She is survived by her husband, Jeff Roberts and a son, Carter Roberts all of the home; parents, Roger and Vicky Keefer, Garden City, Missouri, Theresa and J.W. Matthews, Grain Valley, Missouri; three sisters, Jessica Herrell, Harrisonville, Missouri, Amy Butterfield, Olathe, Kansas, Cristy Adams, Overland Park, Kansas; a brother, Ken Hawkins, Waynesville, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at the Harrisonville Mennonite Church, 1606 Chapel Drive, Harrisonville, Missouri 64701.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Cara ""Keefer"" Roberts Memorial Fund.
