Carl Dean Hatfield

Carl Dean Hatfield of Garden City, Missouri was born August 25, 1950 in Clinton, Missouri the son of Homer Dean and Ethelee Irene (Vaughn) Hatfield. He departed this life on Monday, July 10, 2017 at his home near Garden City at the age of 66 years, 10 months and 15 days. On June 6, 1975, Carl was united in marriage to Peggy Ann Brock in Miami, Oklahoma.
Carl Dean was a farmer and stockman and was employed as a diesel tractor mechanic for Harrisonville Tractor, Company, Harrisonville until his retirement in 2001. He loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Heartland Baptist Fellowship, Harrisonville. Carl Dean enjoyed trout fishing and was a mentor and an Eagle Scout for Troop 244 in Garden City. He was a lifelong area resident and will be remembered by his family as a beloved husband, father, papa and friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Carl Dean is survived by his wife, Peggy A. Hatfield of the home; two daughters, Kayce Eagen, South Whitley, Indiana; Jenny Vivian (Edward), Garden City, Missouri; five grandchildren, Erika, Sarah, Austin, Hannah and William; his sister, Betty Brown, Harrisonville, Missouri; other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 15, 2017 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri with burial in the Garden City Cemetery.
The family suggest in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to K.U. Heart Institute.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri.
