Mrs. Carol Joan Jones of Garden City, Missouri was born January 17, 1948 in Harrisonville, Missouri the daughter of Joseph Perkins and Wilma Pauline (Fisher) Foster. She departed this life Tuesday, August 1, 2006 at Golden Years Care Services, Harrisonville at the age of 58 years, 6 months and 14 days.
On June 13, 1998, Carol was united in marriage to Terry Kirk Jones in Garden City.
Carol was employed as a bus driver for Sherwood Cass R-8 School District, Creighton, Missouri for the past 28 years and was also a cook for Old Cedar Inn, Garden City. She was an outdoor person enjoying her flowers and fishing. Carol was a 1965 graduate of Harrisonville High School and had lived in Harrisonville before moving to Garden City.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Joseph Fisher Foster.
She is survived by her husband, Terry Kirk Jones of the home; a son, Jeffrey L. Carneal, Blairstown, Missouri; two step-sons, Brad Jones and wife Kim and Randy Jones; a step-daughter, Kelly Lorenz and husband Chuck, all of Garden City, Missouri; a step-grandson, Tyler Jones; two brothers, John M. Foster and wife Wanda, Harrisonville, Missouri, Tom Foster and wife Barbara, Peculiar, Missouri; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, August 4, 2006 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri with burial in the Garden City Cemetery.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Grace Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
