Chad Robert Whetstone, 35, of Pleasant Hill, was born, December 27, 1983, in Independence. He departed this life Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at his home in Pleasant Hill surrounded with love and family.
He was a 2002 Pleasant Hill High School graduate.
Chad was employed as IT Technician and Electrician for Service Electric, Time Warner Cable, and Envision Technology. He had also worked for Hayes Drilling. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on old cars, and hanging out in the barn and on the boat with family and friends. He attended the Eagle Creek Church in Lee’s Summit.
Chad is survived by his parents, Janice and Ron Ledbetter of Pleasant Hill; Terry Whetstone of Odessa; daughter and co-pilot, Katelynn Whetstone of Lee’s Summit; fiancé, Sarah McNally and her children, Luke, Izzy, Collin and Hazel “Bug”, all of Prairie Village; 4 sisters, Michelle (and Terry) Ellis of Brunswick Georgia, Dawn (and Michael) Trenolone of Blue Springs, Elizabeth Murrell of Lee’s Summit, and Nichole (and Michael) Karr of Pleasant Hill; 4 nieces; other relatives and a host of many friends. Chad leaves behind his beloved dog Bailey Rae and turtles Hulk and Lucy.
Cremation has been accorded.
A celebration of Chad’s life will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, March 16, 2019, at the Eagle Creek Church, 125 SE Stuart Rd., Lee’s Summit, Missouri 64082.
Inurnment will be in the Round Prairie Cemetery, Appleton City at a later date.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the V.F.W. Post #3118 Veteran’s Relief fund or to Kindred Hospice and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
