Charles Ray Lindsay (better known as Chuck) was born March 5, 1943 in Clinton, Missouri and died September 8, 2026 in Warrensburg, Missouri.
Chuck was born to Charles William and Ruth LaVerne Masonbrink Lindsay. He was raised in the Creighton Methodist Church and Creighton Schools, graduating from Creighton High School with the Class of 1961.
Chuck enlisted into the Army in March 1964. He was accepted into the Army Security Agency and worked with Military Intelligence in Okinawa during the Vietnam War from 1965-1968.
Following his military service, he resided in Nebraska, later returning to Missouri, finally settling in Warrensburg where he continued his lifelong education into substance use disorders, counseling, and recovery from addiction.
Chuck is survived by his sister Emilee Snow, niece Dawn Snow, and great-nephew Alex Schumacher all of Warrensburg, Missouri. Chuck is also survived by many of Bill W.'s friends in the fellowship he was proudly a part of since 1983.
Chuck will be remembered for his booming laugh and his creative use of language. Chuck would want us to remember the first line of his favorite book: "Life is difficult" and would encourage you to find your own fellowship when the going gets tough.
