Charles Edward Myler, 83 went to be with the Lord on May 7th at his home in Belton, MO surrounded by his family. Charles was born September 18,1940 to Faye Lee Simpson- Myler and George Abraham Myler in Roger’s, Arkansas. He accepted Jesus Christ and was born again in  January 1979.

On October 25, 1963, Charles and Marilyn Maunyane (Pinkston) were united in marriage in Kansas City, Missouri. Together they had 4 children; Paul, Chris, Cathy, and Eric.

Charles worked as a bricklayer for 33 years until he was injured on the job.  After that he worked for the CASCO Area Workshop in Harrisonville as a Job Coach.  He loved working with the disabled individuals in the community.  He worked there until his retirement in 2005.  After his retirement he worked part time at the Harrisonville Ministerial Alliance Thrift Store until December 2023.

In his spare time Charles liked to travel and go on cruises.  He also collected vintage cameras and model cars.  He also liked to go shoot guns and had a collection of numerous types of rifles and handguns.

He is proceeded in death by his parents; Faye and George Myler and mother and father-in-law; Dorothy and Aubrey Pinkston.

Charles is survived by his wife; Marilyn Maunyane of the home, his children; Paul Scott (Marylee) Harrisonville, MO Christopher Lee (Tresa) Pleasant Hill, MO Catherine Michele (Darrell) Anthony Harrisonville, MO and Eric Brian (Missy) Harrisonville, MO.  Brother Jerry (Paula) Myler of Fayetteville, AR.  Multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Celebration of Life Visitation will be held 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri. With a brief Service at 5:00 p.m.
