Clyde H. Pipes Jr. of Harrisonville, Missouri was born February 24, 1942 in Kansas City, Missouri the son of Clyde H. and Lenore Pipes Sr. He departed this life on Sunday, April 5, 2009 at Kansas City Hospice House, Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 67 years, 1 month and 11 days.
On August 2, 2008, Clyde was united in marriage to Diana Lynne Webb in Harrisonville, Missouri.
Clyde was employed as an inspector for the Missouri Department of Transportation for 32 years until his retirement. He later was employed as a monitor for Labor Management Contracting, Kansas City, Missouri for the past 15 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Harrisonville; a Marine veteran and member of the Knights of Columbus, Bishop Hogan Council #2303, Kansas City. Clyde was an avid Missouri Tiger and Green Bay Packer fan and enjoyed his 3 parrots and 8 dogs. Clyde had lived in Lee?s Summit, Missouri before moving to Harrisonville in 2005.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Diana Pipes of the home; a step-son, Ronny Wilkes, Independence, Missouri.; a step-granddaughter, Sydney Alexis (Wilkes); six sisters, Mary I. Henke, Frances Reilly and Sister Lenora Pipes all of Kansas City, Missouri, Kathleen Reiter and Ethel O?Neal both of Overland Park, Kansas, Margaret Fisk, Lake Winnebago, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Mass was held Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Harrisonville, Missouri. Burial at Mt.Olivet Cemetery, Kansas City, Missouri.
Family suggest that memorial contributions may be in Memory of Clyde to the Wayside Waifs.
