Dana Wheeldon Hastings

Dana Raquel Wheeldon Hastings, 49, of Cocoa, Florida was born July 6, 1970 in Kansas City, Missouri the daughter of George Richard and Mary Jane (Brown) Wheeldon. She departed this life on Friday, August 16, 2019 at her home in Cocoa, Florida where she was an RN at an area hospital.

Dana attended Harrisonville Schools until 1980, when her parents moved to Columbus, Kansas. Dana finished her 8th grade in Columbus then moved to Great Bend, Kansas with her parents. She completed high school in Great Bend, then attended Barton County Community College receiving her LPN certification. At a later date, she finished her RN certification in Liberal, Kanas. Dana was a traveling nurse in the US for many years of her life.

Dana is survived by four children, Tobey Mullen and wife Claire, Salina, Kansas, Taylor Hastings and wife Elly, Harrisonville, Missouri, Ramsey Hastings, Kansas City, Missouri and Trey Hastings, Gardner, Kansas; a grandson, Greyson Mullen; her parents, Richard and Mary Jane Wheeldon, Archie, Missouri; two brothers, Darryl Wheeldon, Pleasant Hill, Missouri and Derrick Wheeldon, Tampa, Florida; other relatives and friends.

Cremation. A Celebration of Life Service was held Saturday, September 14, 2019 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with inurnment in the Strasburg Cemetery, Strasburg, Missouri following the service.
