Delbert Lee Wehmeyer

Delbert Lee Wehmeyer of Creighton, Missouri was born April 11, 1949 in Harrisonville, Missouri the son of George Jewell and Betty Jo (Skaggs) Wehmeyer. He departed this life on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 66 years and 4 months.
Delbert was a farmer and stockman and had retired from Stahl Specialty Company, Kingsville, Missouri as a supervisor. He was a 1967 graduate of Sherwood High School and was a lifelong area resident. Delbert enjoyed working, the outdoors, putting up hay and was a avid sports fan. His most recent joy in life was his two dogs, Sugar and Muffin.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Delbert is survived by a son, Jesse M. Wehmeyer and wife, Recolia, Holden, Missouri; his daughter, Lisa D. Masten and husband, Matthew, Pleasanton, California; two grandsons, Von Wehmeyer and Reco Jenkins; his sister, Kathryn Sue Crawford and husband, Alex, Harrisonville, Missouri; other relatives and a host of friends.
Cremation. A Celebration of Life Service was held Saturday, August 15, 2015 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri.
