William Don Wood was born August 30, 1948 in Garden City, Missouri the son of William Leonard and Elsie (Gwinner) Wood. He departed this life on September 3, 2012 at Golden Years Care Services, Harrisonville, Missouri at the age of 64 years and 3 days.
Don worked as a farmer and stockman. He accepted Christ at a very young age and attended the First Christian Church, Garden City, Missouri. He enjoyed visiting with his neighbors and friends and was a lifelong Garden City area resident.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Don is survived by his brother Dwight E. Wood and wife, Winnie, Garden City, Missouri, and his aunt Ruby Oberweather, Lee’s Summit. Missouri.
Graveside services were held on Friday, September 7, 2012 at Garden City Cemetery, Garden City, Missouri under the direction of Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri.
