Donna Jean Schlagle, 66, of Pleasant Hill was born, September 4, 1952, in Macon, Missouri, the daughter of Roy A. and Norma J. (Cook) Stuart. She departed this life, Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at the Lee’s Summit Medical Center surrounded with love and family.

Donna was a 1970 Fort Osage High School graduate.

On September 4, 1970, she was united in marriage to Gerald Leroy Schlagle in Buckner.

Donna was employed as a Marketing Manager for Modern Handcraft in Kansas City. She enjoyed doing needle point, quilting, crossword puzzles, flower gardening, and spending time with her family.

Donna was preceded in death by her father, Roy; her husband Gerald; and a great granddaughter, Sophie Leanne Schlagle.

She is survived by her mother, Norma of Bates City; two daughters, Melissa Schlagle of Pleasant Hill, and Geri Anne Schlagle of Harrisonville; two grandchildren, Christopher (and Davin) Schlagle of Harrisonville, and Kaylin Smith of Garden City; one great grandson, Maverick Schlagle of Harrisonville; one brother, Charlie Stuart of North Kansas City; two sisters, Mary (and Andy) Schnell of Booneville, and Laura (and Matt) Bainbridge of Bates City; other relatives and friends.

Cremation has been accorded.

A celebration of life gathering will be held Saturday June 15, 2019, at her home. All are invited to attend.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Lung Association.
