Doris Evelyn Bauman

Doris Evelyn Johnson of Raymore, Missouri was born August 3, 1929 to Ragnhild Matilda Petersen and John Godfried Johnson in Ainsworth, Nebraska. She departed this life on Sunday, October 4th, 2026 at Foxwood Springs of Raymore, Raymore, Missouri at the age of 97 years, 2 months and 1 day.

On August 21, 1949, Doris was united in marriage to Elven K. (Gus) Bauman in Ainsworth, Nebraska.

Doris was the tenth of eleven children. She graduated High School in Ainsworth Nebraska in 1947 and attended the Curtis boarding school at the Nebraska school of agriculture in Curtis Nebraska. She was a secretary for several local area companies including Gill Studios and most recently for the United States Department of Defense in Belton, Missouri. She was a member of Eastern Star #467 in Lenexa Kansas and the Colonial Church of Overland Park, Kansas. She has always enjoyed spending time with children, her family and working puzzles of all kinds.

Besides her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Gus, in 2009; her parents; ten brothers and sisters, Mary, Harold, Elsie, Roy, Alice, Johnny, Martha, Lloyd, Gene and Donald.

She is survived by her two sons, William Bauman and wife, Janet, Belton, Missouri, Robert Bauman and wife, Pat, Bradenton, Florida; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one Great-great Grandchild; other relatives and friends.
