Douglas Grant Spinning, age 52, of Garden City, Missouri, passed away on November 17, 2024. He was born on August 2, 1972, at St. Mary's Medical Center and was adopted at three months old by Barbara and David Spinning.
Douglas lived a life full of adventure and personal achievement. After earning his GED, he traveled the country, exploring new places and meeting new people. He was especially proud of his time as the manager of two Firestone locations in the Kansas City metro area, where he built lasting relationships and made a positive impact on his colleagues and customers.
Douglas was known for his sharp intellect, quick wit, and engaging personality. He had a natural ability to captivate everyone around him with his stories and insights. His love of reading and music was a cornerstone of his life, and he found great joy in exploring both new ideas and new sounds.
He is survived by his daughter, Kasey Parker of Arkansas City, Kansas, and his son, Sean Spinning of Lenexa, Kansas. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, who will remember him as a man who was never afraid to speak his mind and always had something interesting to share.
Douglas' family appreciates the love and support of all who have been touched by his life.
Cremation with a Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
