Duane Alan Brock was born in Kansas City Missouri on January 8, 1957, to Marvin L. and Melba L. (Gunderson) Brock. He gained his angel wings on January 5, 2022, in Tulsa, Ok at Post-Acute Hospital.
Duane grew up on Pleasant Hill MO, graduating in 1975 from Pleasant Hill High School. On June 16, 2002 Duane married Cynthia (Cindy) Ricket in Kansas City, MO. Duane was a truck drive retiring from the United States Postal Service in January 2019, he also retired from NAPA Auto in 1998.
Duane is survived by his wife Cindy of the home, Daughter Shilo Gillaspie (Nathan) of Nebraska, Son William Brock of Nebraska, and Stepdaughter Keva (Matt) David of Missouri; 5 grandchildren Jacob Oliver, Bailey Wheeler, Samuel Gillaspie, Eli Gillaspie, and Nash David, and 1 great grandson; Brother Mike Brock and a sister; Several nephews and nieces, along with a host of other relatives.
He is predeceased by his parents Marvin and Melba, and 2 brothers, Jeff, and Infant brother, and Granddaughter Sydney Oliver.
Duane is also survived by special friends, Sam, Kenny, Terry, Tommy, and Darrin.
Duane loved football especially the Chiefs and Mizzou Tigers. Duane was a true lover of nature, feeling the closet to God while in the woods hunting, fishing, cutting wood, or mushroom hunting. He had a passion for hunting, namely yearly hog, and deer hunting trips with friends. While going on a hog hunt Duane had a medical emergency in October and never recovered.
Duane was a very complicated and unique man, he loved with all his heart and protected those he loved fiercely. He usually kept his soft side hid, but he loved his family, his cattle (the Girls) and cat Dirt Bike, with all his heart.
The family would like to thank everyone for their love and support during his illness.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, June 12, 2022at 3:00 p.m. at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri. Inurnment will be in the Haseville Cemetery in Laredo, Missouri.
The family will receive friends Sunday, June 12, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
