Elaine Briden

Elaine was born to Forrest and Gladys Gilliland on July 9th 1943, she was one of eleven siblings and carried the values of family, hard work, and resilience throughout her life. She found the love of her life at just 14 years old, and in April 1961, she married Charlie Briden. Together they built a beautiful life and shared an extraordinary 65 years of marriage, built on love, faith, and unwavering devotion to one another. Together they raised four children: Danny Briden, Michelle Cantrell, Christina Briden, and Joshua Briden. She was also the proud grandmother of Stephanie Hampton, Matthew Briden, Amanda Cantrell, and Ryan Cantrell, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Her family continued to grow with the blessing of nine cherished great-grandchildren.

She found her greatest joy in the outdoors. Whether she was hunting, fishing, tending to her garden, or simply enjoying God’s creation, she was happiest surrounded by nature. Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose greatest pride was her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Forrest and Gladys Gilliland; her son, Danny Briden; and her brothers, Robert Gilliland and Jerald Gilliland.

She is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of 65 years, Charlie Briden; her children, Michelle Cantrell, Christina Briden, Joshua Briden; her beloved grandchildren, Stephanie Hampton, Matthew Briden , Amanda Cantrell, and Ryan Cantrell; her nine cherished great-grandchildren; and many siblings, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

Elaine’s life was a beautiful example of love, strength, perseverance, and dedication to family. Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort in the countless memories she leaves behind and the legacy of love she has passed on to future generations.

She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever in our hearts.
