Ella Mae Allen, of Harrisonville, Missouri was born January 31, 1929 in Woodland, Missouri the daughter of Charles Milton Sr. and Ella Corrinne (Woolems) Campfield. She departed this life on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at the Research Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 88 years, 3 months and 16 days.
On April 6, 1947, Ella was united in marriage to Kenneth N. Allen in Palmyra, Missouri.
Ella worked for Motorola in Quincy, Illinois for 30 years. Later she was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant caring for others both patient and family. She retired from Golden Years Care Services, Harrisonville at the age of 75. Ella loved to sew and had made lots of pillows for herself and other people. She loved cats and especially her Siamese cat, Baby.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Allen on November 21, 1985; three brothers, Joe, Everett and Charles Jr. Campfield; two sisters, Betty Nichols and Loretta Taylor.
Ella is survived by two brothers, David Campfield and wife Sharon, Centerview, Missouri, Cecil Campfield and wife Sharon, Swannanoa, North Carolina; brother-in-law, Jerry Taylor, Bradenton, Florida; sister-in-law, Shirley Campfield, Independence, Missouri; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; other relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank her two dear friends, Bernice King and Ruth Smith for their years of friendship and care to Ella.
Cremation. A Celebration of Life Service was held Saturday, June 17, 2017 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
Inurnment is in the Greenwood Cemetery in Palmyra, Missouri.
